2 a : the complex of physical, chemical, and biotic factors (as climate, soil, and living things) that act upon an organism or an ecological community and ultimately determine its form and survival b : the aggregate of social and cultural conditions that influence the life of an individual or community
3 : the position or characteristic position of a linguistic element in a sequence
This program covers a wide variety of topics and issues which are environmental in concept. The notion of environmental coverage only being about the three R's
(reduce-reuse-recycle), although essential, are somewhat limiting. Ideas are presented regarding legislations and technologies, as well as interviews with organizations which are currently active in such matters. Occasionally, topics are brought to our attention through mainstream media coverage. At WRFG, we try to go a step beyond in an attempt to enpower individuals with relevant knowledge to help to make better decisions involving their own personal surroundings on a daily basis.

127 acre non-developed wildlife area and recreational facility on the River. Guided hikes, wildlife center, canoe trips, river clean up, ongoing environmental education events and an upcomming museum are all just samples of opportunities available through this organization.
