Jazz Forum: Miles Away

Your Friday Jazz Forum show celebrates the end of a week and start to the weekend featuring jazz classics alongside modern artists from around the world. Japan, Ethiopia, Scandinavia? You’ll find it here along with artists from lesser-known but just as awesome places in the global jazz scene often with the crackle and pop of the studio’s turntables in the background.

Martin Rottler:

Hooked on jazz since his 10th grade English teacher gifted him a mix CD titled “Miles for Martin,” Martin found and fell in love with WRFG’s eclectic programming while commuting to and from a corporate job after moving to Atlanta in 2021. When life circumstances changed, he jumped at the chance to volunteer with the station and fully embracing the community in “Community Radio.” Whether cruising the bins of a record store for new albums or diving into musical rabbit holes on the internet, exploring the local and international jazz scene, Martin seeks to share the jazz journey with Atlanta and beyond!
