Volunteer Opportunities

As a Non-Porfit, community-led radio station, volunteerism if the life blood of WRFG. We have a wide variety of need that reflect the unique talents. While there are opportunities to provide technical assistance and broadcast training, our volunteers also help in staffing tables at events, event planning, newsletters, graphic design, archiving, and day-to-day office work.
While we do not have an individual volunteer coordinator, volunteers can join a number of station initiatives as they are co-organized by other fellow volunteers.
Each year we host three seasonal Fund Drives. These are our All Hands On Deck volunteer moments, and we often anchor our new volunteer orientation before them. They are great ways for volunteers to get to know Airshifters, learn more about the station, and contribute your time and talents.
If you are interested in learning more, please fill out the volunteer application that is hyperlinked at the beginning of this page. We host at least one New Volunteer Orientation every season. The next New Volunteer Orientation will be at TBD date in January 2026, but invitations will go out in December 2025 – one month before the date. We send invitations to anyone who has filled out a volunteer application in the last 6 months.
Once you fill out the application, send us an email at info@wrfg.org, to give us a heads up. We thank you in advance for any delays in response time, as we have limited staffing. However, as long as you have submitted an application, we guarantee to send you an invitation to the next orientation.
In the meantime, to keep up with us, you can follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter, which we only send out every other month. All links are available at the footer of our website.
