American Pie

Hosted by me, “Jules”, Americana Pie is the 3rd and 5th Tuesday edition of the Peach State Festival series of programs.  I focus on bringing the finest handpicked, quality Americana music (blues, bluegrass, country, folk and roots rock) to listeners.  Additionally, I aim to educate and entertain by sharing information about the artists, the songs and an array of topics.  There’s a reason that I have been dubbed “Queen of the Liner Notes”!  I often invite local artists to come in and perform live in the studio so the listeners can be exposed to the wealth of talent we have right here in our community.  I hope you choose to tune in sometime!

I am passionate about all kinds of music, especially Americana which by my definition is blues, bluegrass, country, folk and roots rock.  I spend a lot of time “auditioning” music via radio, streaming services and of course, live shows, so I can expose listeners to the music of independent artists who don’t have a presence on mainstream media outlets.  I am committed to supporting musicians, local and national, whose voices add so much to our collective culture.
